Astrological view of the Scorpio New Moon

The New Moon came on October 26 at 8:57 PM GMD. Its most outstanding aspects are its opposition to Jupiter in Taurus and sextile to Pluto in Capricorn. There is also a very significant exact square of Mars and Venus, Mars ruling Scorpio, the sign in which we find the New Moon, and Venus ruling Taurus, the sign in which we find Jupiter. Mars and Venus at 21 degrees Leo and Scorpio, respectively, 21 degrees of fixed signs being a critical degree, sets a critical tone of discord to the current lunation. The world is in a critical and troubled mood. Mars in the lunation chart is also exactly sextile Saturn at 21 degrees Libra. This strengthens Mars, and, along with Mars square to Venus, lends a serious, deliberate tone to actions taken in light of the discontentment currently felt in the world.
We also note how this lunation interacts with the Fall Equinox chart. In the Fall equinox chart the Moon was in close conjunction with Mars, at 4 and 2 degrees Leo, respectively. The current lunation is at 3 degrees Scorpio, square the Fall Equinox Moon and Mars. And Jupiter in the current lunation chart is at 5 degrees Taurus, also square the Fall Equinox Moon and Mars. The combination forms a T-square that strongly confirms that the world is now in a critical and troubled mood, and points to increasing turmoil, quarreling and dangers of violence through this month.
Looking at the charts of the EU (11/1/1993, Bruxelles) and Euro (1/1/1999 Bruxelles), we find that at the Fall Equinox Saturn was in conjunction with the Euro's Mars, thus depressing the Euro and stalling remedial activity, as seen in the recent reluctance of Germany to act. Saturn is still in conjunction with the Euro's Mars, but is separating from the conjunction, the repressive affects of Saturn now beginning to lift, making it possible to make some needed headway, although the affects of the Fall Equinox conjunction of Saturn with the Euro's Mars will persist through the Fall quarter. Progress is very slow and difficult.
The Mars square Venus aspect in the current New Moon chart is forming a T-square with the EU Saturn at 23 degrees Aquarius in the EU 7th house. This is showing great tension in international relations currently in the EU. The lunation is in conjunction with the Moon in the natal chart of Italy (1/10/1946, Rome). The Moon in the Italian chart is square Pluto in the 9th. Italy's natal Moon is in the 12th house and rules the 9th. The current lunation is bringing behind the scenes legal troubles, as seen in the Fall Equinox chart, to a head. It will cause no small degree of distress to the Italian people.
Looking further at the relation of the current lunation chart, we find that the lunation is square the Euro's Neptune. Neptune in the Euro's natal chart is in the 4th house and rules the 7th. We also find that the Fall Equinox Moon and Mars were opposite the Euro's Neptune. What this means is that international relations in the Eurozone are in great confusion, and that confusion will not clear up very soon.
There is no quick solution to the Eurozone crisis. We note that Pluto is slowly approaching conjunction to the Euro's natal Sun at 10 degrees Capricorn. That conjunction will be exact in 2013. This means that between now and 2014 we can anticipate a lot of trouble in the Eurozone region with its complications being more and more compounded. The natal chart of the EU has Mercury Retrograde and Mars conjunct Pluto in the 4th house. It also has the Moon at 24 degrees Taurus conjunct the star Algol, the most malefic star in the heavens, and square Saturn at 23 degrees Aquarius in the 7th house, a seriously afflicted chart. The EU will inevitably be reorganized.
Looking at Berlin, we see the lunation intercepted in the 5th house along with Mercury and Venus, Venus square Mars in the 3rd house. The lunation is opposite Jupiter in the 11th house. The interception of the lunation, Mercury, Venus and Jupiter points to much happening behind the scenes along with interferences from neighoring countries that thwart progress. The chart suggests interferences coming from France (Mars in Leo). The lunation opposite Jupiter brings confusion to legislative and legal matters connected to Germany's relation to the EU and to problems of unemployment. The lunation opposite Jupiter causes ill-advised extravagance, and is not good for trade and commerce. Mars in the 3rd house square Venus in the 5th points to unrest and violence in the streets in the Eurozone. Venus at a critical degree and afflicted in the 5th house warns of potentially critical danger to women and children.
Looking at the UK, we see the same general indications as in Germany except the lunation is not intercepted. There is confusion at this time in British involvement in the financial mess of the Eurozone. This is not a good time for business and trade. There is also a continuing danger of unrest and violence in the streets in the UK with danger especially to women and children.
Looking at Australia, we see the lunation in the 12th house opposite Jupiter in the 6th. Venus is in the 1st house and Mars is in the 10th. The lunation brings confusions to labor and employment. Mars in the 1oth house square Venus, Mars ruling the Ascendent in Scorpio, shows the critical attitude of the people with respect to current Government affairs. Mars afflicted in the 10th house shows critical trouble in the Government especially based in problems of labor, services, employment and the national health. The lunation sextile Pluto in the 2nd house, with Jupiter trine Pluto, however, shows the potential, and intention, to resolve financial concerns.
Looking at the US, we see the lunation in the 8th house opposite Jupiter in the 2nd. Venus is in the 8th house square Mars in the 6th. The Venus square Mars between the 8th and the 6th houses points to the critical level of distress in the country. The lunation with Mercury and Venus makes a stellium in Scorpio in the 8th house. This points strongly to the matter of the debt. The lunation opposite Jupiter in the 2nd house shows money wasted, possible stock market losses due to squandered money. There may also be confused, possibly ill-advised moves in connection to banks. The lunation sextile Pluto in the 10th house ties this in with the Government. Pluto ruling the 9th house includes the Government's involvements in internation affairs connected with trade. Pluto in the 10th house sextile the lunation and trine Jupiter also shows the President taking independent, positive steps to address some of the current problems, such as the mortgage crisis, and develop programs to address the problems of the national infrastructure, such as the condition of the roads, bridges and buildings that are deteriorating, which would also create jobs. Pluto sesquisquare Mars in the 6th house, however, frustrates anticipated improvements in the job market for the time being. In face of this behemoth the people are critically distressed. Mars in a critical degree in the 6th house square Venus in the 8th house points to critical dangers coming from police. Mars afflicted in the 6th house shows conflict in armed and police services of the nature of dissobedience to authority. Beware of police brutality. Venus afflicted in the 8th house shows notable deaths among women, artists and musicians.
Looking at the chart of the NYSE, we see the lunation opposite Jupiter, the ruler of the NYSE midheaven, with Jupiter trine Pluto. This may bring advances in the market. At the same time, however, Uranus is in the 10th house in orb of square to Pluto showing unstable market conditions. If the lunation opposite Jupiter spells extravagance, there could be some big losses along the way.
