The New Moon of 12/24 in Astrology

Following the winter solstice, the New Moon at 2 degrees Capricorn was on 12/14 at 6:07 PM GMT. The Moon's outstanding aspects are its conjunction with Pluto, square Uranus, and trine Jupiter. The Moon is also forming parallel aspects with Venus and Mercury. Saturn is trine Neptune, and Mercury is square Mars. We also notice that Jupiter is changing direction from retrograde to direct.
While the Moon is drawing our attention to the coming Uranus square Pluto aspect, she is also pointing to Jupiter's trine with Pluto. That with her parallels with Venus and Mercury are telling us that this month will bring some positive developments and opportunities to the world. Moon trine Jupiter favors commerce and trade. It brings growth. Moon parallel Venus says the same and favors social activities, festivities, and theatrical events. It also favors diplomatic relations and affords opportunities for international understandings. Moon parallel Mercury favors commercial activities, publishing, science, and speech making. This is a significant time to listen to what political figures are saying. All in all, despite the growing tensions shown by Uranus coming to square Pluto, this is an active month for business. It opens a window of opportunity.
The Saturn trine Neptune aspect points to the people benefiting through some political reforms in the making. Trade and the markets will benefit through this Saturn/Neptune aspect.
The Mercury square Mars aspect points to coming arguments. Mercury square Mars believes that the pen is sharper than the sword. It would suggest that the interests of business and commercial interests have a good chance to override the current sword rattling, at least for the time being.
The New Moon was in the 22nd lunar mansion. The 22nd lunar mansion enhances personal power, but does not favor making loans, nor does it does favor speculating. But, it will help you if you are trying to get out of a tight spot. On the personal level, the 22nd lunar mansion casts a shadow over marriage, and cautions about dealings with women in the family. Be careful.

Capricorn ingress, 2011, in mundane astrology

The Capricorn ingress, or winter solstice, occured at 5:31 AM GMT on December 22nd. The outstanding aspects of the Sun at 00 degrees Capricorn include a trine to Jupiter at 00 degrees Taurus and a square to Uranus at 00 degrees Aries. The Sun is also conjunct Pluto at 6 degrees Capricorn. The Moon at the solstice was at 26 degrees Scorpio casting a square to Neptune at 28 degrees Aquarius and a trine to Uranus at 00 Aries.
The Sun conjunct Pluto and trine Jupiter and the Moon trine Uranus are very uplifting, and give us some cause for a more optimistic sense of things to come this winter. On the other hand, the Sun and Pluto square Uranus and the Moon square Neptune tell us that the same old crazy game of tyranny and misinformation is being played to everyone's consternation. Uranus at 00 degrees Aries tells us that this is critical. The critical nature of current circumstances, however, will push those in power to take more positive forms of action. Sun trine Jupiter is good for trade and financial growth.
The Moon at the solstice is in her 19th Mansion. The 19th lunar mansion is not tranquil. It favors hunting and the persuit of personal aims. It does not favor settling down on the job or at home; everything is shifting. What this suggests is that social, financial and business conditions are going to be unstable this winter. It is a good idea for the wise to go hunting, figuratively speaking. The Moon square Neptune warns us of trickery, deceptions and losses along the way, but the Moon trine Uranus tells us that through it there is a breakthrough; there is light at the end of the tunnel. Those who venture forth with eyes wide open will benefit.
The Moon at the solstice is in her 24th house, there being 28 lunar houses in all. The 24th house warns of insincere relations, and advises you to play your cards close to the chest. The 24th lunar house strongly confirms the indications of the 19th mansion; it encourages traveling, and changing of the status quo. This winter is a generally good time for shifting, changing, traveling, and moving. On the political and economic front it shows conditions in a mutable state. The markets will continue to be unstable. But, with the Sun trine Jupiter there will be some big gains. This is a good time for expanding your business against the odds. The Moon waning at the solstice tells us to decide and act; the waning moon shows a general sense in the world to conclude matters quickly.
The solstice chart in the UK has the Sun in the 1st house, Pluto in the 2nd, Uranus in the 4th house, and Jupiter in the 5th. The Moon is in the 12th house, and Neptune is in the 3rd. The Government is in difficult circumstances with respect to foreign relations and trade. But, diplomatic relations are improving to the advantage of Britain. The Sun and Pluto trine Jupiter in the 5th house favors financial gains, and speculation on the stock market. On the other hand, the Sun square Uranus in the 4th house warns of explosions in public buildings, possible mining disasters, and trouble with water mains. There is also a level of critical discontentment among the people with respect to property taxes and the cost of housing. The Moon, rising in the 12th house square Neptune in the 3rd warns of chaotic conditions on the streets involving crime, and agitation among the poor, also misinformation coming from the news media. The Moon and Ascendent conjunct the star Alpha Centauri show important diplomatic activity that, while involving disputes, will result in success for current British interests.
The solstice charts for Bruxelles and Berlin have some important differences. In a nutshell, it looks like Bruxelles pulls the wool over the eyes of Germany, and Germany obliges them and gets defrauded. In Germany, Neptune is in the 2nd house square the Moon in the 12th. This is bad for Germany's economic picture this quarter. Neptune is trine Saturn in the 10th house in Germany, Saturn ruling the 2nd house, and Venus, ruler of the 10th house in the 2nd in mutual reception with Saturn in the 10th, meaning that the Government is allowing the very undesirable state of affairs to continue and is doing all it can to bend over backwards and accomodate the thieves. Meanwhile, back at the ranch, the Sun in the 1st house trine to Jupiter in the 4th is causing real estate prices to rise, and the Sun square Uranus in the 3rd house is causing a lot of arguing, potential strikes, thefts, possible road and rail accidents, and trouble with the post office. Crazy events will be reported in the news.
The solstice chart in Tehran does not show war this winter quarter. The Moon in the 10th house, however, is square Neptune in the 1st showing a great deal of bewilderment and unhappiness among the people with respect to conditions related to international affairs involving the Government and to the economic conditions that look anything but prosperous now. The Sun in the 11th house is square Uranus in the 2nd, spelling unexpected losses. The Moon in the 10th house trine Uranus in the 2nd, however, shows people in the highest circles of the Government enjoying sudden gains. The Iranian people are suffering from poverty while those who rule them are taking in all the money. Sounds familiar, doesn't it? The Sun in the 11th house is trine Jupiter in the 3rd. This favors roads; lots going on between Iran and her neighbors. Jupiter rules the 2nd house; commerce between Iran and her neighbors brings in money, and the money goes up to the top while the people live in want. Wages of workers especially in the areas of postal services, roads, news media and publishing, however, will improve despite the general indication to the contrary. Sun in the 11th house trine Jupiter in the 3rd improves the Government's relations with neigboring lands.
The solstice chart in China has Jupiter conjunct the Ascendent and the Sun in the 9th house. This is the best possible indication for China. The country is protected, and is benefiting in foreign relations. The ruler of the Ascendent, Venus, is in the 10th house showing the Government making a very glamorous appearance. There will be festive public events and ceremonies; trade will improve; the land will enjoy greater peace and prosperity; artists will receive honors; China will be proud. Venus is sextile Uranus denoting remarkable progress in scientific areas this winter, and a significant marriage in the highest echelons, or a diplomatic union of great significance. The Moon is in the 7th house square Neptune in the 11th. This is a mundane trine and zodiac square aspect. It means that though shrewd manipulations China will come out on top in international relations and dealings now. Land and property is being acquired.
The solstice chart in Australia has Neptune in the 10th house square the Moon in the 7th bringing disgrace to the current Government, especially to a woman in the Government. International entanglements are putting the Australian Government in fix. Neptune in the 10th house is trine Saturn in the 6th pointing to military, especially naval affairs involved in the matter. There is also danger coming from the area of big corporate agriculture, as seen especially in New Zealand now. The Sun is in the 8th house trine Jupiter in the 12th and square Uranus in the 11th. It speaks of endings with particularly critical stress on the Parliament. It points to changes in the Government coming up.
The solstice chart in the US has the Moon in the 2nd house square Neptune in the 5th making for more dangers of losses in the markets and banks. The Moon ruling the 10th house points to Government involvement in these areas. The Sun is in the 3rd house trine Jupiter in the 7th. International relations and communications are improving. But, important to note, both Sun and Moon and a total of eight planets are below the horizon, denoting much happening in secrecy; a lot will pass unnoticed. The Sun is square Uranus in the 6th while Venus, the ruler of the US winter solstice chart is in the 4th house sextile Uranus. This points to the critical matter of jobs and offers us some hope, as Venus sextile Uranus will improve the situation to some degree, especially in the more high tech and innovative areas. On the other hand, Sun in the 3rd house square Uranus in the 6th warns of continuing police violence on the streets, possible insubordination among military personel, and accidents and explosions, possibly on warships.

The Lunar Eclipse of 12/10/11 in mundane astrology

The lunar eclipse occured on December 10th at 2:33 PM GMT. The eclipsed moon was at 18:08 Gemini, in conjunction with the star Bellatrix (the Warrioress) and square Mars denoting lots of harsh words and rattling of swords in the world. A lunar eclipse between 10 and 20 degrees of Gemini denotes sudden movement of armies. The time is perilous. We can give three months for the effects of the eclipse to unfold. It certainly heats up matters.
Mars at the lunar eclipse was square the lunar nodes. This adds to the tension and supports the likelihood of violence.
Mercury, the ruler of Gemini, is the despositor of the eclipsed Moon. Mercury was retrograde at the eclipse. This means that people change their mind, go back on their word, and lie. Trickery and betrayal register.
The eclipse interacts with the Fall Equinox chart; the Fall Equinox was on 9/23/11. We note that Uranus turned from retrograde to direct on the day of the eclipse, and that Uranus, at 00 degrees Aries, is in opposition to the Fall Equinox Sun This denotes a crisis in authority, autocratic political figures seizing power illegally, with consequential anger and potential rebellion among the people. The political atmosphere is tense and angry. Uranus at 00 degrees Aries is on a critical degree, denoting a crisis. Uranus is coming to square Pluto, now at 6 degrees Capricorn. The content of this crisis is going to unfold in the world in a most complicated way over the coming four to five years.
The Sun at the eclipse is in conjunction with the Fall Equinox north lunar node at 18 degrees Sagittarius. This means that the actions indicated in the Fall Equinox chart are now at a point of going forward, the north node denoting opening and expanding. To get a better sense of what this means, read this writer's analysis of the Fall Equinox.
The lunar eclipse is in the 7th Lunar Mansion. The 7th Lunar Mansion runs between 17 and 30 degrees Gemini. Its influence is exercised mainly in the mental and intuitive plane. The nature of this Lunar Mansion suggests that whatever violence develops will start with harsh words, lies and betrayals of trust.
We should watch what is happening between the EU and the UK now. In addition, we should watch countries ruled by Gemini, including the USA, Belgium, Egypt, the west of England and Wales.
The eclipse was visible over the far West of the USA and the Pacific. Watch for seismic activity in Ring of Fire. San Francisco is ruled by Gemini.
The eclipse charts for the UK and the EU have the eclipsed Moon in the 1st house and the Sun in the 7th house. This shows international tension. Mars is in the 5th house. This shows fighting in diplomatic circles. Mercury is in opposition to the Ascendent, showing plans falling through, and people changing their minds and going back on their word, causing losses. The Ascendent of the eclipse chart in the UK is at 25 degrees Taurus, conjunct the star Algol. Algol is one of the most malefic stars in the heavens. It shows the matter getting out of hand and people losing their minds. Political fighting between the UK and the EU is rancorous. In the context of transiting Pluto, the situation between the UK and EU will probably come to a major, seriously difficult crossroads late in 2012 and 2013.
The eclipse chart for the US has the eclipsed Moon in the 5th house with the Sun in the 11th house and Mars in the 8th house. The eclipse Moon rules the 7th house. This points to diplomatic wrangling. Mars in the 8th house involves the debt and losses of money. Uranus in the 2nd house shows the critical condition of the national economy. The stock market will be extremely unstable. The eclipse Moon opposite the Sun in the 11th house is polarizing the political picture. Mars afflicted in the 8th house of the eclipse chart denotes accidents and deaths by fire and crime. Be very careful through the holidays. Mars in the 8th house also denotes an increase in deaths in the military.

Sagittarius Solar Eclipse of 11/25 in mundane astrology

As shown by this eclipse, we are in challenging times that call for innovation and creative activity, and to courageously forge ahead in new directions.
The solar eclipse, at 2 degrees Sagittarius, came on 11/25 at 6:21 AM, GMT. The shadow of the eclipse falling over the far southern hemisphere from the region below Africa to Australia down to the edges of Antarctica, will cause the eclipse to register for most of the inhabited world more like a strong new moon; it gives a strong accent to the unfolding world events of the fall quarter.
Sagittarius, the sign in which we find the eclipse, resonates with all international affairs, international trade, shipping, long distance travel, airlines, and the like. It also corresponds to the Arab countries, Australia, Spain, Southern France, South America, and Hungary. In these areas the eclipse will register in various ways. A strong lunation marks the beginning of new activity, whether good or bad.
The eclipse is exactly in conjunction with Pakistan's natal Saturn in the 8th house of that country's natal chart. This brings out some long standing, serious matters in Pakistan's international financial and banking relations, and casts a dark cloud over the country's leadership, as Saturn rules the 10th house of that chart, the 10th house being the house of the head of state. There may be a notible death in the highest circle of the Government, and/or of a notible elder figure in the country.
The eclipse is exactly in conjunction with Romania's natal Mars in the 8th house of Romania's natal chart. Mars, in that chart, rules the Ascendent, the the house of the people and the country's outlook. Being in the 8th house, ruled by Scorpio in that chart, Mars points to a rise in suicides, and sudden deaths, by fire, accidents, and crime. Financial conditions in Romania are bad. The eclipse on that country's Mars is very unfortunate.
The aspects cast by this solar eclipse are as follows. The eclipse is trine Uranus at 0 degrees Aries. This galvanizes innovative developments that are sure to come up in the coming months. We should look for some scientific breakthroughs, and possibly very interesting UFO activity.
The eclipse also forms a T-square with Mars and Neptune, Mars being at 6 degrees in Virgo and Neptune at 28 degrees in Aquarius. This T-square points to unsettling possibilities. Neptune rules oil. Bahrain's natal Moon is at 3 degrees Gemini. United Arab Emirate's Saturn is at 2 degrees Gemini, Iran's natal moon is at 6 degrees Gemini, and Syria's natal Mars and Uranus are both at 5 degrees Gemini opposite the eclipse and square the eclipse chart position of Mars. The natal chart of Israel has Mars at 28 degrees Leo, exactly opposite the eclipse chart position of Neptune, Neptune being involved in the T-square with Mars and the solar eclipse. The situation in the middle east region continues to be very tense and is potentially explosive.
The eclipse, being in Sagittarius, is ruled by Jupiter. In the chart we find Jupiter in mutual reception with Venus. There is a spirit of conciliation in this. It is hopeful sign, and tells us that international forces in conflict can, and may agree to avoid the worst.
The eclipse came at the same time that Mercury turned retrograde. Mercury is at 20 degrees Sagittarius. The effects of Mercury retrograde at the eclipse will complicate matters. International agreements are not dependable, and will not hold. People will change their minds, change alignments, and back out of agreements, only to make other agreements later. This will work for and against progress. In the middle east situation, this is particularly troubling. Another effect of the Mercury retrograde is that international trade relations are shifty and questionable.
The eclipse chart interacts with the fall equinox chart of 9/23. We find that today's solar eclipse is exactly trine the fall equinox position of Mars. This strongly favors people in the world taking bold, positive steps now. At the fall equinox, Uranus was approaching opposition to the Sun. Now, at the solar eclipse, that opposition is exact. This means that the tensions in the world that we could see developing from the fall equinox are now critical. It points to the world crisis. Uranus favors innovation. The negative face of this opposition is tyranny. Innovation must happen in face of tyranny. The oppositions in the world are at crisis point.
The eclipse chart for the UK shows the eclipse in the 1st house. This shows a new development coming up amongst the people. Jupiter is in the 6th house. It focuses on labor. Venus is in the 2nd house, tying it to money. Mars and Neptune are in the 9th and 3rd houses, respectively. There is a lot of arguing, and concern over international trade, as well as trade with neighbors. British trade with Ireland is suggested.
The chart for Berlin has the eclipse, the north lunar node, Mercury, and Venus rising in the 1st house. The voice of the people is going to grow louder. Jupiter is in the 5th house. The voice of the people will influence diplomatic relations in the EU. Jupiter in the 5th house also promisses a good time coming for creative expression, especially through the arts in Germany. Mars and Neptune are in the 9th and 3rd houses, showing lots of arguing, and relations with neighboring countries coming under question. This is a very intense time for Europe that will bring out strong creative thinking. The affects of this eclipse will hold past the time when Neptune enters Pisces in February. The last time Neptune entered Pisces was 1848. That was a tremendously creative time for Europe, and it marked the 1848 revolutions in France and Germany.
The eclipse at Sydney, Australia was in the 8th house along with the north lunar node, Mercury and Venus, giving great emphasis to international financial matters. New taxes are likely to come. Neptune is in the 10th house and Mars is in the 4th. There appears to be angry opposition to a rather confused Government, likely to be voted out before much longer. Jupiter is on the Ascendent in Taurus. The country is blessed with protection at this time. The people in general are better off than they realize although Saturn in the 6th house would like to gainsay that; issues of labor and public services must seriously be addressed. Saturn is trine Neptune in the 10th house. It quite literally is bringing naval activity to Australia from the US, and the Government is favoring it.
The chart for Washington, DC has the eclipse in the 3rd house. Mars is in the 12th house and Neptune is in the 6th. Be careful of criminal violence on the streets. Police are fast becoming insane. Jobs is a critical issue that must, and will, be addressed. The health of the country is not good. The media is abusing its role. We will see plenty of insane mud slinging, bald faced lying and embarrassing gibberish on tv and radio. A lot of misinformation will be spread on the internet. People will be whipped up to fear and rage. Jupiter in the 8th house and Venus in the 4th say help may be on the way for people in debt; they may be able to save their homes. On the other hand, however, that aspect between Jupiter and Venus also suggests that foreign money is coming to buy up more American land and property. Mars is in the 12th house, and Saturn is in the 2nd. It's "trouble behind, trouble ahead," as Jerry Garcia of the Grateful Dead used to sing.

Will there be war? Horary astrological chart.

Upon reading of the explosion in Iran, in light of the indications shown in the full Moon chart of 11/10, the question whether there will be war came up. A chart was drawn in Phoenix, AZ to find out. Here is what it says.
The probability of war is now strong. The Moon, ruler of the 1st house in the 1st house is coming to square Saturn, the ruler of the 7th house. According to the rules of horary astrology, when the rulers of the 1st and 7th houses are found to form a square aspect from the angles (the 1st house is an angular house) they point to war. The only sign that softens the probability is that Saturn is in the 5th house. The probability is strong nonetheless; the Moon casts the square from the 1st house. If there is to be a war it would involve Iran and Israel if not others. Let's hope it doesn't happen. But what did just happen in Iran, in which 17 people were killed, is very serious.
Looking more closely at the chart, Cancer on the 1st and 2nd houses ties the near future to the present. The future of the situation is tied to the present condition. Moon in the 1st and Uranus in the 10th house, with the angles in cardinal and mutable signs, show impatience in the matter. Moon in Cancer will move to conclude the matter quickly. Mars in the 3rd house will bring up arguments. If the matter is to be stopped, Mars in the 3rd may be the one to do it, depending on who is arguing with whom. Nonetheless, Capricorn on the 7th house cusp casts a shadow over the chart and tells us to pay attention to the bad signs. Jupiter in Taurus is behind the Moon. He says that something of the nature of travel or a communication one week ago led up to the present situation. The Moon's final aspect is square Saturn. This means that the matter will end badly. The best we can say for it is that what happened in Iran is very ominous. The situation in the region has deteriorated, and will escalate to worse violence. The probability of war is strong at this point.

The Full Moon of 11/10/11 in Astrology

The Full Moon came on 11/10 at 8:18 PM GMT, or 3:18 EST. The Moon is at 18 degrees Taurus and the Sun is at 18 degrees Scorpio. Mars, the dispositor of the Sun is at 29 degrees Leo opposite Neptune at 28 degrees Aquarius. Mars is also conjunct the star Regulus. The opposition of Mars and Nepune involving Regulus intensifies the energy of Mars which, at 29 degrees Leo, is extremely impatient and potentially explosive. In the UK the opposition of Mars and Neptune occurs between the 3rd and 9th houses, denoting dangers of road accidents and heated arguments. The Moon is in the 11th house opposite the Sun in the 5th. The political situation is tense, especially with relation to what is developing in the EU.
The further east we go the more the oppositions of Mars and Neptune, Sun and Moon come into focus on the earth. Looking at Athens we see the opposition of Mars and Neptune in the 2nd and 8th houses showing dire financial conditions with possible bank failures and panics likely. The Moon in Athens is in the 10th house showing changes in the Government. Jupiter is also in the 10th house. Jupiter, fortunately, gives some protection to Greece in this very difficult time.
Going further east, we find the Full Moon exactly at the zenith, and the Sun exactly at the nadir in Iran. We see Mars rising in the 1st house conjunct the Ascendent opposite Neptune in the 7th house of the chart for Iran as well. This is a sign of violence. If not military, it suggests the possibility of an earthquake in the area of Iran (or 51 degrees east longitude). Looking at the opposite side of the world, the Moon is at the Nadir and the Sun is at the zenith off the west coast of North America, and Alaska. Seismic, or volcanic, activity could occur there as well.
Because of the violent nature of the aspects shown in the chart for Iran, the chart for Israel was also examined. In Israel, Jupiter and the Moon are at the zenith. Jupiter in the 10th house is in a grand trine to Mars in the 1st house and Pluto in the 5th house. While Jupiter protects the country, this grand trine, accompanied by Mars opposite Neptune in the 7th house, suggests a warlike tone developing, an aggressive spirit, and possible military activity. Neptune in the 7th opposite Mars house shows treachery on the part of foreign powers, with probabilities of clandestine attacks.
The charts for both Israel and Turkey are identical. The entire region from eastern Europe, and the Middle east all the way to Iran is extremely tense. There is a sense of high alert everywhere in the region. Conflicts in the region can easily be started. Earthquakes are also highly possible. Mars at 29 degrees Leo is at the end of his tether and is out of patience. Reckless actions are a big danger. Not only does this bring danger to international affairs, but internal conflicts are highly likely in the region these coming days as well.
The Full Moon at Washington DC is in the 1st house. The Sun and Saturn are in the 7th house. Saturn casts a shadow over the whole chart, showing troubled international relations now. Jupiter, rising in the 1st house, however gives the country cause for hope. Jupiter is in grand trine with Mars in the 6th house and Pluto in the 9th. This favors the job market, possibly bringing about legislation that favors workers. Mars in the 6th house opposite Neptune in the 12th, on the other hand, shows dangers of infections being spread in public places, especially hospitals and prisons. It also shows dangers of violence from police, and possible fires or accidents in hospitals, prisons, and military installations. Neptune in the 12th house opposite Mars also points to dangers of drug and pharmaceutical related deaths. Be careful.

Astrological view of the Scorpio New Moon

The New Moon came on October 26 at 8:57 PM GMD. Its most outstanding aspects are its opposition to Jupiter in Taurus and sextile to Pluto in Capricorn. There is also a very significant exact square of Mars and Venus, Mars ruling Scorpio, the sign in which we find the New Moon, and Venus ruling Taurus, the sign in which we find Jupiter. Mars and Venus at 21 degrees Leo and Scorpio, respectively, 21 degrees of fixed signs being a critical degree, sets a critical tone of discord to the current lunation. The world is in a critical and troubled mood. Mars in the lunation chart is also exactly sextile Saturn at 21 degrees Libra. This strengthens Mars, and, along with Mars square to Venus, lends a serious, deliberate tone to actions taken in light of the discontentment currently felt in the world.
We also note how this lunation interacts with the Fall Equinox chart. In the Fall equinox chart the Moon was in close conjunction with Mars, at 4 and 2 degrees Leo, respectively. The current lunation is at 3 degrees Scorpio, square the Fall Equinox Moon and Mars. And Jupiter in the current lunation chart is at 5 degrees Taurus, also square the Fall Equinox Moon and Mars. The combination forms a T-square that strongly confirms that the world is now in a critical and troubled mood, and points to increasing turmoil, quarreling and dangers of violence through this month.
Looking at the charts of the EU (11/1/1993, Bruxelles) and Euro (1/1/1999 Bruxelles), we find that at the Fall Equinox Saturn was in conjunction with the Euro's Mars, thus depressing the Euro and stalling remedial activity, as seen in the recent reluctance of Germany to act. Saturn is still in conjunction with the Euro's Mars, but is separating from the conjunction, the repressive affects of Saturn now beginning to lift, making it possible to make some needed headway, although the affects of the Fall Equinox conjunction of Saturn with the Euro's Mars will persist through the Fall quarter. Progress is very slow and difficult.
The Mars square Venus aspect in the current New Moon chart is forming a T-square with the EU Saturn at 23 degrees Aquarius in the EU 7th house. This is showing great tension in international relations currently in the EU. The lunation is in conjunction with the Moon in the natal chart of Italy (1/10/1946, Rome). The Moon in the Italian chart is square Pluto in the 9th. Italy's natal Moon is in the 12th house and rules the 9th. The current lunation is bringing behind the scenes legal troubles, as seen in the Fall Equinox chart, to a head. It will cause no small degree of distress to the Italian people.
Looking further at the relation of the current lunation chart, we find that the lunation is square the Euro's Neptune. Neptune in the Euro's natal chart is in the 4th house and rules the 7th. We also find that the Fall Equinox Moon and Mars were opposite the Euro's Neptune. What this means is that international relations in the Eurozone are in great confusion, and that confusion will not clear up very soon.
There is no quick solution to the Eurozone crisis. We note that Pluto is slowly approaching conjunction to the Euro's natal Sun at 10 degrees Capricorn. That conjunction will be exact in 2013. This means that between now and 2014 we can anticipate a lot of trouble in the Eurozone region with its complications being more and more compounded. The natal chart of the EU has Mercury Retrograde and Mars conjunct Pluto in the 4th house. It also has the Moon at 24 degrees Taurus conjunct the star Algol, the most malefic star in the heavens, and square Saturn at 23 degrees Aquarius in the 7th house, a seriously afflicted chart. The EU will inevitably be reorganized.
Looking at Berlin, we see the lunation intercepted in the 5th house along with Mercury and Venus, Venus square Mars in the 3rd house. The lunation is opposite Jupiter in the 11th house. The interception of the lunation, Mercury, Venus and Jupiter points to much happening behind the scenes along with interferences from neighoring countries that thwart progress. The chart suggests interferences coming from France (Mars in Leo). The lunation opposite Jupiter brings confusion to legislative and legal matters connected to Germany's relation to the EU and to problems of unemployment. The lunation opposite Jupiter causes ill-advised extravagance, and is not good for trade and commerce. Mars in the 3rd house square Venus in the 5th points to unrest and violence in the streets in the Eurozone. Venus at a critical degree and afflicted in the 5th house warns of potentially critical danger to women and children.
Looking at the UK, we see the same general indications as in Germany except the lunation is not intercepted. There is confusion at this time in British involvement in the financial mess of the Eurozone. This is not a good time for business and trade.
